Flaking back the layers of H.O.P.E. as a social organization it has discovered a purpose that is fueled by variety of experiences and communal harmony towards women, children and the marginalized. 28th February, 2015 was a day of prestige and honor for H.O.P.E. as it celebrated H.O.P.E. day in H.O.P.E. center, Moseswadi along with 100 guests, benefactors, staffs and supporters.
On 11th January 2014 H.O.P.E. opened the doors of Kalpataru Girls Hostel in Sainik Wadi, Vadgaon Sheri. It provides affordable accomodation for volunteers, students and women in distress seeking for a temporary mid way home.Fr. Matthias Altrichter did the blessing and Sr. Caroline Fernandes did the inauguration.The stretch of the national highway from Yerwada which was a laid back area has developed in astronomical speed in the last decade.
On 8th March, 2014, H.O.P.E. completed 40 years. Founded in 1974 by Sr. Noelline Pinto in Vadgaon Sheri, H.O.P.E. now can look back to 40 years of humanitarian service to poor and marginalized women, children, and families.
H.O.P.E. Celebrates Senior Citizens Day
First October is the world senior Citizen’s Day and 2nd to 8th October is the Joy of Giving week. In a harmonious blending of the 2 events H.O.P.E. celebrated the senior Citizens Day on 4th Oct. from 10.am to 2.00 p.m. in Maria Hall, VadgaonSheri. H.O.P.E. staff, Volunteers from the local community gave their love, time, service and gifts in kind to organize a Melava for our 250 revered senior citizens.

November focussed our vision on the forthcoming children’s day, as we gradually moved into the International Season of Peace and goodwill – Christmas. We plunged wholeheartedly into preparations and planning for the same,with enthusiasm and creativity.

HOPE organised Domestic workers gathering on the 4th May 2013. Nearly 100 women joined the celebration. Advocate Anupama Joshi was the speaker for the day. She spoke on the recent act that is the sexual harassment of women at work place(Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013. It was just enacted on the 23rd of April 2013. It has been a very good act for the safety and protection of women from sexual harassent.
