H.O.P.E invites you to the ‘Food for Change’ event on 5th October 2012 at the Hyatt Regency, Viman Nagar, Pune

 

It’s the JOY of GIVING Week! Come, SUPPORT OUR CAUSE - FOOD FOR CHANGE!

 Dear Friends and well wishers of HOPE,

We are delighted to invite you to participate in ‘Food for Change’ – a dinner gala to support a wonderful, charitable cause! 

Artists, Celebrities, Event professionals, Professional Models and people from different walks of life will come together for fun, goodwill and great entertainment under the amazing hospitality of Hyatt Regency. Famous pop singer Anaida is the Goodwill Ambassador for the event.

 

The event will include a fashion show that will be choreographed by Sandeep Dharma to the music of renowned DJ Abhishek Mantri. The models walking the ramp will include members of Pune’s affluent families, socialites, CEO wives, and professionals. An auction of the paintings of Suhasini Kiloskar will also be on sale to help raise more money for the charities during this event.

 

Donate & Dine

Donors who contribute Rs 5,000 to our NGO from 10 September to 5 October 2013 will be entitled to a dinner pass for 2 persons to the event. Single entry at Rs 3,000 is also available. The contributions will go directly to our NGO to support the great work we do. You can also ask your friends to make a donation to our cause and use this as an opportunity of spending some time together.

 About the Joy of Giving Week

The Joy of Giving Week that was pioneered in 2009 (celebrated from October 2nd – 8th every year) is a special week, which aims to bring people from all walks of life together to get involved with a cause(s) of their choice. It is a concerted effort across companies, celebrities, business heads, NGOs, schools, colleges, and the general public, to promote “giving”. The Week is expected to involve more than 1 crore Indians from all over India in "acts of giving".

 

About Us

H.O.P.E. was born of a desire to connect with those in need and to be present with a commitment to empower them in life. With this in mind we strive to educate, enable, facilitate, and intervene in the great task of empowerment of women and all-round development of children. Over almost 40 years we have been reaching out in relevant ways to those in distress, offering them timely assistance, raising them up through support and encouragement, enabling people to move forward in hope.

The various humanitarian projects of HOPE are:

 

 

I.  Women Empowerment -

  1. Skills Training- Spoken English, computer, Tailoring, provided on regular basis.
  2. Self Help Groups – guidance, trainings towards self reliance provided every month. We are helping 250 women through SHG’s.
  3. Domestic Workers Solidarity – Helping them to know their rights through training programmes, dignity of work and work ethics, trainings provided to upgrade their work, constant help and guidance provided to get the benefits of Government schemes etc. So far we are helping 500 domestic workers.
  4. Legal Aid and Counseling provided to individual women and children as and when reguired.
  5. Family Welfare at all times to help families and individuals during their difficult times especially during major illness, family problems, children’s educational help, payment of house rent, providing food grains to destitute senior citizens and families etc.
  6. Social Action – to stand against injustice meted out to women, children, etc.

 II. Integral Child Development - Through day care center at the construction site, Support classes, Personality development, holistic camps, Scholarships for poor and deserving children. We are helping 150 children directly at our day care center, sponsorships and support classes. There are another 100 children with whom we are connected through formation of young adolescent groups in the field areas.

III. Home assistance for 350 Senior Citizens is provided in 10 different area clubs. Daily visits, monthly gatherings, home assistance provided to individual cases, Health camps organized, assistance provide to prepare senior citizens cards etc.

IV. Ecological Programs – coastal clean up, rallies and awareness seminars both women are children take active part.
